Reality Capture (also known as RC) is photogrammetry software which creates 3D models out of unordered photographs (terrestrial and/or aerial) or laser scans without seams. We use it primarily for As-Built Modeling and Site Surveys.
Scan (Reality Capture) to BIM Services
Scanning of existing buildings using highly sophisticated equipment and Drone Photogrammetry and or Terrestrial Scanning to develop as-built drawings and models that can be used to determine the integrity of the structures and facilitate major renovations. Using the newest, state-of-the-art Building Information Modeling (BIM) programs, these drawings are developed with a high degree of accuracy allowing edits and changes to be made in a fraction of the time previously required. Cadworks provided these services recently for the 150,000 S.F. Historic Macaulay Foundry in Berkeley, CA. The project required 990 scans performed over a six-week period. Specialty equipment used for the project included the Faro Focus X330 for interior data collection and the Inspire I Drone for exterior and roof data collection. Data was exported to Revit for the final model.
